Hello! I'm Stacie,

owner and certified wedding planner at OM Engagements, and all around organizer by nature. With values rooted in amazing customer service, meticulous attention to detail, and utilizing my background in management, I created OM Engagements so I could work in my passion every day - helping couples in the Greater Washington DC Metro area plan stress-free, exceptional events and breeze through the details.

Built on a foundation of collaboration, my team and I partner with couples to not only understand the vision for the wedding, but then be able to translate your ideas for all involved to bring your imagination to life.  Working together, we will produce an event that is perfectly unique to your personality - from selecting the very best vendors, to managing your budget, and crafting a meticulous timeline - we take care of executing the details so you can concentrate on enjoying your engagement.

Born in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and relocating to Washington DC for school - and staying because I met the love of my life - I am a bi-coastal “Washingtonian”. Currently nestled in the historic neighborhood of Shepherd Park, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two littles, dining at local restaurants - Mi Rancho is our daughter’s jam - and am on a mission to learn how to make the perfect cup of chai tea in my own kitchen. On wedding days, it is not uncommon for me to have multiple “extra” copies of the day’s schedule for each vendor, check in on my couple and their families throughout the day, and end the day having participated in the “Cupid Shuffle” or the “Wobble”... because life is way too short not to join in a few line dances.

Your wedding is more than just a one day event... it is the first memory you create as a married couple. Let's take this journey together!

It All Started...

when my "day of coordinator" disappeared.

Being a naturally organized person, I knew that I wanted to plan my own wedding, but would need help from someone in order to make sure the day went smoothly. So I did what I thought was the most economical thing, I hired a planner from Craigslist. She was a very nice woman, showed up for the consultation, signed off on the contract, took our deposit, and then vanished.

I was devastated!  In trying to find someone that was inexpensive, I ended up being swindled. Thankfully I had an amazing group of people to help pick me up and a wonderful dressmaker - who also happened to coordinate small events - who stepped in and saved the day so that I could enjoy my wedding day!

After my day was over, I was thoroughly convinced that I never wanted another bride to feel the way I did - totally stressed, unable to really enjoy the planning process, oh and yes,  bamboozled out of money.

With this experience behind me, I've built OM Engagements on core values that I share with my clients. Our guiding principles are excellent client/planner communication, enthusiastic collaboration, authenticity, adaptability, and above all, trust. My team and I cannot wait to begin planning with you. Let's get started by grabbing a cup of chai (my absolute favorite!) or a glass of bubbly for your first consultation!

"I could write a very long review...

of how wonderful Stacie is, but I will save you time and get to the point – if you want someone who will get the job done with professionalism, organization, fun but is also friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, then you need to hire Stacie.

She has a stress-free approach and saved us a lot of time, headache and tackled every unpredictable wedding issue (both major and minor, but our day was perfect). She also helped pull together a seamless itinerary, assisted with some vendors, and made sure everyone was on the same page. Stacie is invaluable -- BOOK HER ASAP."
